READING THE MAP
Layers, trailer-era timeline filters, and evidence-linked markers — how cartography stays honest before release.
BRIEFING
CONTEXT
The interactive map is Utopia’s State Briefing: the shared YANIS community basemap under an original overlay, exhibit stamps, and markers that should carry entity and evidence IDs. Empty pretty pins are a failure mode.
Timeline filters answer “when did we first see this?” Trailer 1 vs Trailer 2 vs stills changes confidence. A landmark that only appears in a blurry community crop stays weaker than a Rockstar still.
Regions are full dossiers — Vice, Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Mount Kalaga — not poster links. Drill into Locations for POIs nested under those regions.
When a POI doubles as a business or safehouse, cross-link rather than duplicating lore in two contradictory summaries.
